Chapter 5: Configuring the Router

The Administration Tab - Diagnostics

The diagnostic tests allow you to check the connections of your network components.

Ping Test

Ping Parameters. The Ping test will check the status of a connection. Click the Ping button to open the Ping

Test screen. Enter the IP address or domain name of the PC whose connection you wish to test. Enter the size of

the test packet. Then select the number of times you want the ping to occur. Click the Ping button. The Ping Test

screen will then display the test results. Click the Close button to return to the Diagnostics screen.

Traceroute Test

Traceroute Parameters. To test the performance of a connect, click the Traceroute button. Enter the IP address

or domain name of the PC whose connection you wish to test. Click the Traceroute button. The Traceroute Test

screen will then display the test results. Click the Close button to return to the Diagnostics screen.
