EXERCISE 1: Establishing Connectivity_________________________

To access the router you need first to establish a telnet session to its

Commserver. The next few steps help you connect to the Commserver.

Use Hyperterminal to establish a telnet session. Go to

Start>Programs>Accessories>Communications>Hyperterminal on the PC

desktop. Next, name the session for the new connection.

Connect using: TCP/IP (Winsock) which will then ask you for a Host

address. Enter the telnet address (host address) assigned to you listed on

the colored flyer given to you by the lab administrator.
