Modem Management Operations
Inspecting Modem Firmware
Before you upgrade modem firmware for MICA or Microcom modems, you should perform the
following tasks:
Step 1 Determine the version of firmware that is currently loaded in each modem (for example, 2.6.2.0).
5800-NAS# show modem version

1/3/84 1/3/95 7 2.6.2.0 -
1/3/96 1/3/107 8 2.6.2.0
Step 2 Find the version of firmware that is bundled with the Cisco IOS software. The Cisco AS5800 supports
the show modem bundled-firmware command which replaces the show modem map command that
displays the region of NVRAM that identifies where the modems get their firmware at bootup.
