Follow these steps to prepare an AC power cord to connect to the power converter.
Warning
When installing the unit, always make the ground connection first and
disconnect it last.

Step 1 Cut off the female connector on the cord.
Step 2 Using a wire-stripping tool, strip the outer insulation layer 1 inch (2.54 cm).
Step 3 Strip the inner wire insulation to 0.25 inch (6.3 mm) ± 0.02 inch (0.5 mm), as
shown in Figure 3-15.
