Description Installation on Solaris could fail if the previous package removal

unsuccessful

Symptom When removing the previous NetMetrix package, if you see the message

Removal of NetmDoc or Removal of <NETM-DOM> partially failed, you

will not be able to successfully install NetMetrix 6.0 NetmDoc and

<NETM-DOM>.

Details Without rerunning the removal program again, the install of the two

packages NetmDoc and <NETM-DOM> fails without any warnings.

Work-Around If you see the message Removal of NetmDoc or Removal of <NETM-

DOM> partially failed, you must run remove again to completely remove

the NetmDoc and <NETM-DOM> package.

Collector Daemon, arwrite

Description RMON data collection from Cisco misses data

Details Our testing has found certain anomalies involving the handling of time

in Cisco Catalyst 5000 LAN switches. These anomalies cause RMON

data collection to periodically miss data throughout the day; for 1800-

second (30-minute) data collection, two to three 1800-second data buck-

ets are missed.

Work-Around None.

Description When stopped and restarted, response collector process loses at

least one interval

Details If the response collector process (rtcollectd) is stopped and restarted,

at least one data interval is lost, even if the daemon is restarted

immediately.

Work-Around None.
