Description Agent Manager needs an easy way to see commands launched

Symptom Agent Manager launches applications without showing the command

line used to start the application. [Defect ID 0804–024349]

Work-Around You can add a line of the form “logging.level=4” to the ﬁle /usr/netm/

conﬁg/Netm.properties. To see the command lines used to launch the ap-

plications select File➤Error Log... from the menu bar.

Description Modifying an agent leaves the agent unusable

Symptom Agents report “Not Responding”

Details From the modify panel you can change parameters that are essential for

Agent Manager to communicate with an agent via SNMP. For example,

Agent Manager does not warn that an agent may no longer respond if

you change the SNMP port or community string. [Defect ID 0804–

016931]

Work-Around Recontact the agent after modifying SNMP parameters.

Description The Modify screen allows ERM association with unsupported

interfaces

Symptom Select an interface that supports ERM associations and choose

Edit➤Modify. Then change the selection to an interface that does not

support ERM associations. The modify panel will be updated with the

new interface information and allow you to attempt ERM associations.

Details The association will fail and report errors. [Defect ID 0804–019976]

Work-Around Do not attempt to associate interfaces with an ERM if the interfaces do

not support extended RMON.

Description File selector list buttons do not work

Symptom The ﬁle selection dialog that appears when you select File➤Import from

Agent Manager has two buttons that do nothing.

Details There are two icons that display tool tips “Details” and “List” in the ﬁle

selection dialog. In this version of Agent Manager, these buttons are not

implemented. [Defect ID 0804–017095]

Work-Around None.
