Understanding Feature Availability
Your comp any’s phone support team determines which features and services are
available to you and how they will be configured. Therefore, some of the features
included in this User Guide might not be available to you or might work
differently on your phone system.
Contact your support desk or system administrator if you have questions about
feature availability.
Placing, Answering, and Ending Calls
This section provides information about placing, answering, and ending calls on
your phone, and using a phone directory and the phone logs. It includes the
following topics:

• Ending a Call, page 2-6
Tip Lines, or extension numbers, support calls. Look at the LCD screen on your phone
to see how many lines you have. Each line on your phone can support two
connected calls, but only one call can be active at any given time.
Placing a Call
Table 2-1 lists the different ways you can place a call with your Cisco IP Phone.
