Managing Your Phone Contacts
Your Cisco IP Phone might supply several different features to help you manage
your phone contacts: a personal address book, a Cisco IP phone synchronizer, the
Personal Address Book service, and the Fast Dial service.
Note These features are optional. Check with your system administrator to find out
which features are available to you.
The Personal Address Book allows you to store names and numbers of your
common contacts. From your Cisco IP Phone, you can use the Personal Address
Book service to look up entries, make a selection, and press a softkey to dial the
selected number.
With the Fast Dial service, you can assign index numbers (from 1 to 99) for quick
dialing from your Cisco IP Phone. You can assign index numbers either to
Personal Address Book entries or to directory entries that you add that do not
correspond to the address book. You can assign and remove the Fast Dial entries
from your phone or the Cisco IP Phone User Options application.
Note The exact names of the Personal Address Book and Fast Dial services might
vary, depending on how your system administrator configured these services.
With the Personal Directory synchronization tool, you can synchronize the
following address book entries stored on your computer with the
Cisco CallManager directory:
• Microsoft Windows address book
