aaa authentication attempts
Specifies the number of login attempts allowed before a Telnet session is terminated.
aaa authentication attempts login [number-of-attempts]
Syntax Description
Command Default The default number of authentication attempts is 3.

Command History This table includes the following release-specific history entries:
Usage Guidelines The maximum number of login attempts is relevant only for Telnet sessions. From the local console, the
number of retries is unlimited.
Authorization: admin
Examples The following example shows how to set the maximum number of login attempts to 5:
SCE8000>enable 10
Password:<cisco>
SCE8000#config
SCE8000(config)# aaa authentication attempts login 5
SCE8000(config)#
